Main Ingredients:
2–4 medium russet potatoes (cleaned and scrubbed)
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Supplementary Ingredients (for topping, optional):
Butter
Sour cream
Shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar)
Chopped green onions or chives
Bacon bits
Black pepper
Garlic powder or onion powder (optional for added flavor)
Production Methods:
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.
Use a fork to poke holes all around each potato (4–5 times). This helps steam escape and prevents bursting.
Step 2: Season
Rub each potato with olive oil to ensure crispy skin.
Sprinkle generously with salt. You can also add a little garlic powder or black pepper if desired.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Step 4: Air Fry
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not stacked—leave space between them for even cooking.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 35–45 minutes, depending on potato size. Flip halfway through cooking for even crispness.
Check doneness by inserting a knife or fork—it should slide in easily without resistance.
Step 5: Serve
Let the potatoes cool for 2–3 minutes.
Slice each potato open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings like butter, cheese, sour cream, green onions, or bacon bits.
Tips:
Russet potatoes are best for baked potatoes because of their fluffy interior and crispy skin.
Cooking time varies by size: small (30–35 mins), medium (35–40 mins), large (40–45 mins).
For extra crispy skin, increase heat to 410°F (210°C) for the last 3–5 minutes.
