Main Ingredients:
2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into strips
Supplementary Ingredients:
1–2 tablespoons olive oil (or any vegetable oil)
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Fresh or dried parsley (optional, for garnish)
Production Methods:
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into even strips (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick).
Soak the potato strips in cold water for 20–30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps them get crispier.
Step 2: Dry and Season
Drain and thoroughly dry the potato strips using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Place in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat.
Add salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like (such as paprika or garlic powder). Mix well.
Step 3: Air Fry
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd (cook in batches if needed).
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Step 4: Serve
Once golden and crispy, remove the fries from the air fryer.
Sprinkle with a little more salt if desired.
Garnish with parsley or serve with ketchup, mayo, or dipping sauce of your choice.
Tips:
Thinner fries = crispier texture, but check often to avoid burning.
Soaking and drying are key steps to achieving the best crispiness.
For extra crispiness, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 2–3 minutes.
